The questions you actually have

They are the same every week. Most software in this market answers them with a chart you have to interpret. Below is each one with the sentence this app puts on the screen — copied out of the code, not written for the page.

Which of them you are asked at signup depends on your trade, because a business running weekly routes and one running week-long builds do not have the same week.

Every trade asks these

Seven questions a plumber, a cleaner and a general contractor all have, in roughly these words.

  • What's on today, and who's on it?

    “6 jobs, 08:00 to 16:30. 7h 15m of work.”

    On Today · components/DayCapacity.tsx

Above the day itself, per crew, before the list of who is on what.

  • What do I already know about this address before I knock?

    “Service History”

    On The customer's page · pages/CustomerDetail.tsx

Every visit to the property, grouped by project, with what it was and how it ended.

  • Did the customer actually get told?

“Told 1 person, most recently at 3:42 PM. One didn't go out.”

    On The job · lib/notificationReceipt.ts

Every email is logged whether it worked or not, so a failure gets its own clause and the provider’s own reason next to it.

  • Where's the proof of what we did?

“2 photos across 1 visit. Every one has a before and after.”

    On The customer's page · lib/photoProof.ts

On the customer, not the job, because nobody remembers a job number when the phone rings. A visit missing its after says so.

  • Who owes me money, and can they pay without me chasing?

    “Money still out”

    On Invoices · pages/Money.tsx

Aged, oldest first, with what has already been paid against each one.

  • Did that job pay what I thought it would?

“Collected · What it cost · Kept”

    On The money · pages/Money.tsx

Cash that actually arrived against what the work really cost. When nobody entered the costs it says "Not known" rather than inventing a number.

  • Where does the next job come from?

    “Get Quote Requests”

On The board, Lead column · pages/Settings.tsx

One link for a website, a text or a card. Anyone who fills it in lands in your Lead column.

Because you run repeat visits

Cleaning, pest control, mowing routes, maintenance plans. The worry is coverage.

  • Who's due this week, and did anyone get missed?

    “No jobs scheduled”

On The schedule, and Today · pages/JobsCalendar.tsx

Recurrence is held per property, weekly through annual, so next week exists without anybody rebuilding it.

  • Did billing follow every visit, or is somebody getting served for free?

“One finished visit was never billed. The oldest is 41 days old.”

    On Invoices · lib/unbilledVisits.ts

Work finished, fuel spent, no invoice. Silent when there is nothing to say, so it is still worth reading on the day it is not.

  • Who's gone quiet, and are they about to leave?

“Nothing here is urgent. It is just what has gone quiet.”

    On The money, under Worth a follow-up · pages/Money.tsx

The quote nobody answered, the lead you snoozed, the customer who has not been back.

Because calls come in

Plumbing, HVAC service, electrical service, handyman. The worry is triage.

  • A call just came in. Can I take it today, and what falls off?

“Starting at 11:00 finishes at 15:00, which puts 1 job past 12:00: Dana Whitfield.”

    On Today · lib/dayCapacity.ts

A storm, a late van, a call at nine. It names the jobs that fall off rather than leaving you to work it out in the truck.

  • What's finished and still not billed?

“One finished visit was never billed. The oldest is 41 days old.”

    On Invoices · lib/unbilledVisits.ts

The repair from two weeks ago that never got written up, found before the customer forgets it happened.

Because you run projects

Roofing, remodels, painting, hardscape, cabinetry. The worry is drift.

  • Is this still on the number I quoted - now, not at closeout?

“Quoted Work · Still out · profit if they land”

On The job, under Job Costing · components/MarginSummary.tsx

The quote against the actual while the job is still open, not at closeout when nothing can be done.

  • What's still owed on this job after the deposit?

“$4,000 is already invoiced against a $10,000 contract, so $6,000 is all that is left.”

On The job, and Invoices · pages/JobDetail.tsx

Half up front and half at completion, counted in whole cents, so completing a job raises the remainder and never the contract again.

  • Can the client see progress without me texting photos?

“View all your past services and photos below.”

On The customer portal · pages/CustomerPortal.tsx

A link the client opens whenever they want, instead of a group text with photos buried in it.

What is not on this page

One question an operator has is missing: which of your crews is nearest to a call that just came in. Nothing in the app answers it yet, so it is not sold here and it is not offered at signup either. This page is generated from the same list the app uses, and a question the app cannot answer cannot appear on it.

The scheduling question has a longer answer on the blog: add the job, re-run one route, and keep a printed copy in the truck.

Pick the ones that matter to you

The first thing it asks is which of these you want answered. What you pick becomes a short setup list, and every step on it says which answer it is holding up.

No card. No sales call.
